FAQ
What are the benefits of pre-ordering a copy?
The first 500 pre-orders are sold as a limited print run collector’s edition copy signed by the author, so be sure to order one before they run out. Once you make your purchase, you can look forward to receiving your exclusive copy in the mail before the general public can find them on store shelves.
Pre-orders also help support the author by allotting more time for writing and revision by alleviating the need to make ends meet. The more pre-orders there are the sooner the book is likely to come out!
When will I get the book?
We’d like to know that answer too. Good things take time and, in this case, a well-researched book as well. Ideally the completion of the book should be wrapping up around the end of 2020 and as soon as it’s finished you’ll be getting a copy. You’re always welcome to inquire how the book is coming along by contacting us through our website whenever you would like.
Can I pre-order a copy as a gift?
Yes, in the pre-order form simply select the box “this is a gift” and you can make the book out to anyone you’d like. Simply fill in the recipient’s name during check out and we’ll take care of the rest.
How much is shipping? Do you ship internationally?
Shipping costs vary depending on your location (all prices are in CAD):
- Hamilton, Ontario: Free
- Rest of Ontario: $5
- Rest of Canada: $10
- USA: $15
- International: $25
Are pre-orders refundable?
Unfortunately not, but anyone who pre-orders the book can certainly look forward to an educational and entertaining read.
What happens if I have a change in shipping address before the book is finished?
Once the book is finished and before pre-ordered purchases are shipped out an email will be sent to re-confirm the purchaser’s shipping address. Addresses that go unconfirmed by email will have a 365 day grace period to re-confirm from the time of initial pre-order shipping in order to claim their pre-ordered copy.
What type of research has gone into the book?
Over four years of research has gone into The Green Fork Diet and includes countless material from medical journals, scientific literature, as well as an expansive bibliography. The author also includes his personal experiences growing up in the restaurant and food service industry in addition to his current contributions as a certified nutritionist.
What inspired Beau to write and develop The Green Fork Diet?
Before Beau even considered writing his own book he was always passionate about healthy eating. Over time his inspirations to live an active and energetic lifestyle transitioned into a growing career of helping others achieve the same goal. As he became more versed in the field of sustainable nutrition, he was never shy to engage in conversations with strangers about this very topic.
At a trade show convention in Toronto, Ontario in 2010, a publicist over heard Beau speaking and approached him about whether he had ever considered writing a book. This small stroke of fate implanted the very idea that eventually culminated into the development of The Green Fork Diet: the Five Pillars of Food.
